If Things are Feeling Tough and Motivation is Lacking, Step Up Your Self-Care!

October 3, 2017

If you’re struggling with procrastination and self-doubt, if your motivation is lacking, or things are just feeling really, really hard at the moment, take a long, hard look at whether or not you are giving yourself enough self-care, enough self-love. Are you showing yourself how important you really are, and taking proper care of yourself – mind, body and soul?

In this video I walk you through a few simple (yet often overlooked) ways to get yourself back on track when self-doubt kicks in.

Have you let self-care go by the wayside, and if so, has self-doubt crept in? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. If you found the ideas in this post useful I would be honoured if you shared it with your network.

This video was originally recorded as a Facebook Live.

– – Hello, my lovelies! It’s Dr. Sally Graddon, The Life Balance Doctor, here.

I want to come and talk with you briefly about self-care, as it’s something that’s really important.

If you’re struggling with procrastination and self-doubt, if your motivation’s lacking, or things are just feeling really, really hard at the moment, take a long, hard look at whether or not you are giving yourself enough self-care, enough self-love. If you’re showing yourself how important you really are, and really taking care of yourself. And that’s mind, body and soul.

Have a look, and look at the areas where you might be lacking in that self-care, and step it up a notch. It doesn’t have to be difficult – it can be really, really simple things.

Are you eating enough foods that really support your body?

Are you getting outside in the fresh air, and allowing the sun to nourish you? Get outside, and breathe in some of the fresh air. Go and have some fun!

Take a long bath.

Do whatever floats your boat – whatever really lifts you, because you’ll find that, all of a sudden, the things that seemed really, really hard earlier, suddenly seem like a doddle in comparison.

Another lovely tool when you’re struggling with procrastination and feeling it’s all just a bit too difficult, is to make a note of all the things that you have achieved today. This week, this month, this year, even.

Go back and look at just how far you’ve come, because I can guarantee that you have achieved way more than you give yourself credit for, way more than you think you have. It’s only when you really take that time to mindfully explore what you have achieved, that you suddenly notice all of the amazing things that you’ve done that you take for granted, or that you just don’t realise you’ve done!

Doing all of these things will also raise your vibration, which can only attracts more of the good stuff to you!

I know this works, from personal experience! I was feeling really grotty this morning, and I realised I hadn’t had enough to eat and drink. As soon as I went and got some really good food and had something to drink, I suddenly found everything a lot easier to cope with.

Have a great day. Look after yourself. Put some self-love, self-care in there. It doesn’t have to take long. Five minutes here and there can make the world of difference.

Lots of love to you all.

Take care, see you soon! Bye!
