About Shamanism
Shamanism is about connection. Connection to nature, to the world around us, to each other and, ultimately, to ourselves. It is about connecting to something bigger than us – going beyond the tangible and entering into the world of energy, intuition and Spirit.
It’s about learning our own lessons – and learning to trust ourselves.
We are spiritual beings inhabiting a human body. In this modern world of ours, it has become harder and harder to slow down and tune in. To sense – and honour – our connections to others and to the web of life. As humans, we are hardwired with a deep, internal need to feel a direct connection to that web and, through it, to each other. Shamanic practices honour and deepen this connection, providing the tools and space in which we can reconnect, so that we may hear not only our own inner wisdom, but that of Spirit (the creator force, Source, God, the Universe… whatever the language that most resonates with you may be).
This work supports and nurtures us as we grow, allowing us to be our best selves, living our best life, showing compassion and respect to all beings – including ourselves.
No matter what your religious beliefs are, shamanism welcomes all. It is not a religion, rather a spiritual practice with roots that are thousands of years old. Indeed, many religions, from Buddhism to Christianity, have their roots in ancient shamanism and still bear the shamanic threads of deep connection to the sacred in all things.

Shamanic Healing
As a former doctor, one of the things that frustrates me most about modern medicine is the disconnect from spirituality. Modern medicine saves lives, of that there is no question, and yet, there is something missing – an understanding of the connection between body, mind, Soul and Spirit. Dis-eases are all too often treated in isolation, with little time given to identifying the root cause.
Shamanic healing reunites and honours those connections and allows healing to take place on a far deeper level.
In shamanism, we work with the spiritual and energetic aspect of any dis-ease, whether emotional, physical, mental or spiritual imbalances. We are all made of energy, and, in order for us to feel well, energy needs to flow freely. On our journey through life we all face challenges, some of which can hurt us emotionally, physically, mentally, or spiritually, leaving energetic wounds which some people carry with them in their body. We can even carry misplaced energy from past lives or ancestral lines.

My aim is to empower you to heal yourself, by helping you to reconnect with your mind, body and Soul. This isn’t something that is done TO you, rather it is done WITH you.
My work is always informed by my shamanic work as it is a part of who I am, however, I will always be guided by you and we can include as much – or as little – of this more formal healing work during our sessions as you feel drawn to and need.
